Pricing
Depending on the trim and options, the 2025 Audi Q8 can cost anywhere from $75,695 to $83,795. We would go with the Audi Q8 Premium trim level and add a few extras to it. A fully digital gauge cluster, integrated navigation, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a power-operated tailgate are just a few of its exceptional standard features.
Even though 21-inch rims are required, we would still choose the Black Optic package because of its more aggressive look. We would also include the Convenience package (which includes wireless charging, cross-traffic alerts at the back, blind-spot monitoring, and more) and the Towing package. With the latter, the Q8’s maximum towing capacity of 7700 pounds is unlocked.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
Poor EPA estimates for the Q8 are less than those of other competitors with all-wheel drive. According to government estimates, the Q8 can get 17 city and 23 highway mpg. Though it only managed to achieve 28 mpg over 200 miles, the Q8 we drove on our highway fuel economy route fared much better than its EPA highway rating. A BMW X6 with comparable equipment got 29 mpg. for additional details regarding the Q8’s fuel efficiency.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside the Q8, Audi has created a classy and durable atmosphere in typical fashion. The panels are precisely aligned, and the materials are high-quality. The base model comes with a panoramic sunroof and heated front seats as standard, but it lacks upscale features like contrast-stitched leather and four-zone climate control.
The best model is the only one with massaging front seats, better leather upholstery, and quieter dual-pane glass. All of that was included in our test car, along with a head-up display and adjustable ambient interior lighting. The Q8 has an amazing appearance in addition to ample passenger space.
Even at this high altitude, the driving position is still sporty, and the rear can accommodate two adults who want to spread out. Despite having a smaller cargo capacity than the three-row Q7, the two-row Q8 still allows us to fit eight carry-on bags behind the rear seat.
With the split rear bench folded almost flat, that number rose to 23 (two fewer than in the Q7). The air suspension option, which can lower the rear end to assist with lifting luggage in and out, was installed on our test car. The Q8 has a small amount of cubby storage inside. We had limited space for storing small items because of its narrow door pockets and shallow center console bin.
Conclusion
With its powerful performance, sophisticated styling, and state-of-the-art technology, the Audi Q8 is a fantastic option for a luxury SUV. It provides a fun driving experience, a high-end interior, and powerful features. Despite having a limited cargo capacity and low fuel efficiency, the Q8 is still a great choice in its class.
