Before buying a Galaxy Ring, customers can use Samsung’s sizing kit to determine their ring size. The device’s free EMI options begin at Rs. 1,625 for 24 months. Before October 18th, customers who purchase the ring will receive a complimentary 25W travel adapter.
Samsung Galaxy Ring Design
The Samsung Galaxy Ring has an elegant, understated design that makes it look like any other ring. The ring is crafted from titanium and comes in three finishes that resist scratches. To ensure a snug fit on your finger, it is offered in nine distinct sizes.
The ring features various sensors, including an accelerometer, an optical biosignal sensor, and a skin temperature monitoring sensor. With the help of Galaxy AI, it can monitor multiple fitness activities and generate an Energy score based on those activities. Its IP68 rating allows for safe submersion in water without risk of damage. Available colors include Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold.
Samsung Galaxy Ring Battery
An 18mAh battery can power the Samsung Galaxy Ring for up to seven days on a single charge. The ring can be charged with its charging cradle, which has LED lights to indicate the charging status. The ring requires approximately 80 minutes to fully charge, and the charging case contains a 361mAh battery.
What we hoped we’d see?
Activity tracking: This was realized, with seamless data transfer to the Samsung Health app and automatic workout detection.
Advanced sleep tracking: The information we currently have about the ring appears good, but we won’t know how it compares to Oura—which is very good at tracking sleep—until we’ve used it for a while.
Temperature tracking: When we first said that the Galaxy Ring could monitor your body temperature, we meant that it could be useful for women who wanted to track their cycles and pregnancy as well as for letting you know if you were coming down with something. This was only partially accurate because the Galaxy Ring does not track fertility or pregnancy, only temperature and menstruation.
Media control: There were rumors that the Galaxy Ring would have control over other electronics. Once more, this was only partially true because the Ring supports gestures to turn off alarms and control the shutter on your phone camera. Practical but not quite necessary.
Tap to pay: Since Oura lacks NFC support as well, this was on the moonshot list, but we were hoping for NFC support for contactless payments on the Galaxy Ring. Perhaps the next time.
